''Choristoneura obsoletana'' is a species of moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.〔(mothphotographersgroup )〕 The wingspan is 21–24 mm. Adults have been recorded on wing from April to December. The larvae feed on ''Asimina'' (including ''Asimina triloba''), ''Gaylussacia'', ''Senna'', ''Fragaria'', ''Rubus'' and ''Typha'' species, as well as ''Betula papyrifera'', ''Chamaedaphne calyculata'', ''Lespedeza cuneata'' and ''Aronia melanocarpa''.〔(Brown, J.
